Ruby POV

I don't know how long we've been on the road. Probably a few days but it feels like weeks. Wait. Months. I meant to say months. I don't know how long I've been starring at the road passing in front of me. I don't know how long it's been since Liam stopped for gas. I don't know-

My thoughts are cut off when a car cuts right in front of us. I thank god that cole was driving. I like Cole and don't want him to get hurt but if it had been Liam, Chubs, or Vida, I don't think I would have been able to take it.

We slam into the car. I vaguely remember screaming and the glass of the windshield shattering before everything goes black.

Zu POV

Gabe is driving like crazy trying to get us back to the house. He thought he saw one of the league's vehicles and wanted to make sure got away from them.

He cuts it a little to close while driving in front of another car. We are too close for the car to stop. They slam into the side of Gabe's truck. I hear the sound of screaming. The drivers door and one of the doors in the back of the van fly open.

When I see him, I feel like I'm hallucinating. He looks just like Liam. The longer I stare at him though, I realize that while he does look just like Liam, he also is clearly older. There are other ways to distinguish them though. He must be Liam's brother Cole.

The woman who got out of the back seat is all business. She looks ready to scream at whoever risks climbing out of the truck. I decide that it might as well be me. Gabe beats me to it though.

The entire time the woman that Cole called Cate is talking, he is looking at the passenger door. I finally decide to get out and "ask" him if he know anything about Liam.

When I climb out of the truck, both people look slightly surprised. I walk right up to Cole and pass him the note I wrote. He looks sort of surprised, but them moves to open the door to the van.

Before he can, a girl with bright blue hair tumbles out.

"Stewart!" She shouts. With a gesture towards the front seat, she says,"she isn't waking up. The boys are in there freaking out." She rolls her eyes before saying,"get them to come out and get some fresh air. Tell them that when we meet up with the other agents we'll have medical help for her."

Cole grumbles but goes inside. He comes out a few minutes later with- No! It can't be them!

Chubs and Liam come out of the van. I just noticed that Cole is holding an unconscious Ruby.

I don't know when the tears started but I can't hold them in. I can't believe I hurt my sister. I could have hurt my brothers also.

When they see me, my brothers hug me. Gabe is giving us weird looks. I guess I have some serious explaining to do later.

Ruby POV

I wake up with a pounding in my head. Even interrogating the hardest of people didn't hurt this much. I notice that I am laying on Cole's lap while he strokes my hair. I struggle to sit up.

"Take it easy Gem. You need rest."

I sigh and lay my head back down knowing that Cole wasn't going to let me do something anytime soon.

"That wasn't so hard was it?" He asks with amusement on his face.

I am so going to kill him. I hear someone say something that sounds like to see if she is awake. Then, the best sight in the world. Zu walks into the van. We both start crying as soon as we see each other. She hugs me tightly and I refuse to let her go.

Cate decided while I was out that Gabe (whoever he is) and Zu will be joining us. I smile for the first time since Jude's death when Zu climbs into our van.

THIS WAS JUST SOMETHING I WROTE TO DEAL WITH THE PAIN OF IN TIME. COULD POSSIBLY BECOME A FULL STORY IF YOU GUYS WANT IT TO.
