Reid didn't know what to feel as he danced with Prentiss in his arms, the two were so much closer than before after the talk they had.
Reid smiles as Emily pulled his head to her shoulder, the brunette kindly whispered in his ear "I'm leaving the BAU."
Reid's eyes flashed open in shock, for once the genius had nothing to say, he was angry and confused all in one, saying anything could just make the situation worse.
Emily kisses Reid on the cheek before releasing him. "I'm sorry Reid." States Emily before she walks away, she knew she was breaking her promise, abandoning her little brother after she'd sworn never to again
Reid remains frozen, Emily was leaving them? Again! But she promised him that she'd never leave … Why was she taking it all back now?
Reid's hands moved to wipe away his falling tears; he didn't want the team to see him cry, he had to be just as strong as they were, it was time he grew up too
The genius was just about to leave, when a small hand curled into his own, fingers connecting the two hands into a locked state
Reid looked down to see little Henry smiling happily up a t him "Uncle Spencer, can you show me a magic trick?" Asks the child happily, he noticed his uncle was sad and wanted to make him happy again, plus he loved magic
Reid forgets his pain as he leans down to Henry's level, he slowly shows he has nothing in his hands before rolling a small coin through his fingers as he moved a hand behind the boys' ear, creating the illusion he'd got the currencly from the said ear
Henry laughed as his uncle pulled a coin from his ear, his uncle Spencer was amazing! The rest of the team turned to watch their resident genius play with the boy, they all knew Reid would take the pain of Emily leaving the hardest, but seeing him perform his tricks made everyone smile.
"Pretty boy sure has grown." States Morgan as his dance with Emily ends
Emily watches the scene; she had seen Reid crying just moments ago, her heart filled wth joy at seeing the young man now smiling and laughing "He sure has."
Her attention turns towards the rest of the team "Take good care of Reid guys."
Garcia smiles, JJ and Will laugh, Hotch and Morgan turn to one another and Rossi begins approaching the two magicians "Well come on." He states "Looks like a pretty good show."
Everyone hurries and sits next to Henry as Reid finishes yet another mind blowing trick, all but Emily
The brunette couldn't bring herself to watch, to enjoy the last time she's with her old teammates "Goodbye everyone, I will never forget you. You will all forever be my family"
Tears slide down Emily's cheeks as she turns to walk away, leaving was the hardest thing she ever had to do, the first time she left to protect everyone, but this time was different. This time she was choosing to walk away, starting her own path for her, not to keep anyone safe from her crazy stalker.
This time was different … Deep down she knew she wouldn't be coming back.
Today is my dad's birthday! He would have been 45 years old, I miss and love him so much, everyone hug your fathers and mothers, make sure they know how much you care, because you never know when they'll be gone.
