Chapter One: The Trouble with Thieves
People were panicking.
Lothering was in chaos.
So much the better for you, you knew, as you slipped through the streets. Your [h/c] hair was falling into your face, making you look like just another villager as you made your way through the streets.
It was bad if they caught you. This certainly wouldn't be the first time they prevented your escape, but if they did it again, it would be your last.
Too many offences, and they warned you of the consequences again.
Still, there was no sign that anyone had followed you and…wait… was that the shop keeper?
'Run!' you think, and you start moving quicker, but in this crush of people, you had to fight from being pushed back.
"You! Girl!"
'...RUN FASTER, YOU FOOL.'
The bridge was too open. Around the buildings you went instead, winding and twisting and squeezing through small spaces, straining your legs as your lungs screamed for oxygen.
Finally you stopped, panting and doubled over. You were elated though; you managed to keep your prize safely in its pouch, the leather strings tying it to the cloth belt at your waist.
You would eat tonight, you would not go hungry.
All that was left to do was make it past the perpetually-open 'gate' and you'd practically be home free. It was only a short distance to your hideaway and…was it getting darker?
Your arm was suddenly yanked upwards by a strong force.
It was a hand…connected to a burly arm…connected to a barrel-chested torso…and the face red with anger that attached to that was one you recognized.
'...'
Oh, crap.'

Well. I decided I wanted to write a series for Dragon Age spanning the adventures of the game. Since I need exact dialogue for my Mage Origin one, I couldn't work on that. Hence, the creation of this. Reader insert stories are always fun.
Seeing as all six Origin stories seem to be about as equally popular, I thought I'd make one of my own.
I don't know if I'll continue or not… but I won't put a 'if I don't get ten reviews I won't continue' thing here. If I get even one asking me to keep going, I'll be happy, and will gladly do so. ^^ Hope you enjoyed this~
