I had had noticed there weren't any Zeus/Hera fics and decided to make one so... Ta-Da!

Zeus had not seen his wife all day.

Usually she was in her throne, or buying things at the market, or listening to the Muses, or glaring and shouting at his children.

But today she was nowhere.

He decided to check the only place on Olympus he hadn't checked.

The gardens.

It was filled with whites and reds. Blues and yellows. Purples and pinks. Tons of colour and animals. Many extinct in the mortal world.

After combing through the huge garden for an hour, he heard a soft sound.

Like crying.

After walking closer to the sound he learned that it indeed was crying and the one crying was the very woman he was looking for.

He hesitantly stepped out of the brush and into the small clearing in which his beautiful wife was sobbing.

Her white dress had grass and dirt stains on the bottom and she was clutching something to her as the goddesses tears fell into it.

"Hera?" He called softly. His wife looked up at him, her beautiful chocolatey eyes rimmed with red from crying.

"Where have you been all day?"

"Here." She managed to choke out as she sobbed again, curled into a ball, not facing him.

Not knowing how to deal with the situation, the King of Olympus sat down next to her and asked, "What are you holding?"

Hera, without stopping her display of emotion unfurled her hands ever so slightly to reveal the ring Zeus gave to her.

The wedding ring Zeus gave to her.

"Why aren't you wearing it?"

"B-Because I don't feel as though I'm married, Zeus."

Zeus was shocked. Why? He certainly felt he was married. Why not his wife?

"Why?"

"Because you don't love me!" She whispered before getting up and walking away.

Zeus noticed how even in this state she was graceful. Kicking himself out of his reverie he got up and grabbed his wife's hand before she could disappear into the mess of plants the gods had grown.

He pulled her to his chest and said, "Of course I love you. Why would you think otherwise?"

Her eyes started watering again and se replied, "When was the last time you said it? Last time you showed it?"

She let her tears out and Zeus, by instinct, wiped them away with his thumbs.

He wrapped his arm around her frame and put his other hand on her neck.

He murmured, "I love you so, so, much. I'm sorry I haven't said it. But I love you."

Hera smiled softly and stroked his cheek. "I love you too." She breathed.

Zeus leaned down and kissed her. They could both feel the electricity and they both didn't ever want to let go.

Suddenly it started raining. But the two married Olympians did not care. They simply continued, their body's soaked and their hearts beating as one.
