Hot Chocolate
Jack felt disconcerted. The light green eyes had been staring at him for the past five minutes, and he started to worry that the little girl might start crying. "Hey, hey… It's ok. Actually, I'd love to have some hot chocolate!" he said hastily, hoping she would forget the fact that he had rejected her offer only moments ago; after all, hot and cold didn't mix very well…
Still, the green eyes stared at him. Slowly, she blinked, and it was as if a light blinked on in her head. She stood, her little hands clutching the mug (Bunny's face was plastered on the side), and carefully made her way down the porch steps to a small bank of snow. Once she reached the bottom of the steps without spilling a single drop of hot cocoa, she stuck the mug into the snow. Tilting her head, she studied the mug as the snow melted around it, and then scooped some clean snow into her tiny hands and plopped it into the mug.
"Tink is cold enough?" she asked, turning toward Jack; her green eyes were furrowed in concern and thought.
Jack smiled. "I think it should be perfect," he replied, hopping down beside her. She smiled gap-toothily at him and bounced back up the steps where her own mug of hot chocolate was waiting for her.
Jack took the mug from the snow and took a small sip; it was watery because of the added snow, but it was still perfect.

Loosely based on a mini RP I had on tumblr where I played the little girl… which is loosely based on a story I heard in real life concerning a man with no arms (or legs), a little girl, and a hug. He (Nick Vujicic) is perhaps the most inspirational man I have ever heard of.
Written because I wanted to throw cute things at Jack.
