Eduardo Jr. is Four and this takes place before Eduardo Sr. left for the states.
It was a warm June day in Argentina, the sky's were clear, the sun was beaming, and the feel of terror spread slowly trough out Eduardo Sr.'s body. He couldn't find his son anywhere, and he meant absoultly anywhere. He had checked the entire house, the back yard, his friends house, and even the library. (And he realized those were only four places but he was only four, how many places could he possibly go?) After re-re-re-searching the entire house for his son, Eduardo Sr. finaly decided to resort to just walking around and looking for Eduado Jr. He pulled on his shoes and, as an after thought, grabbed one of his sons hoodies, just in case he was cold. He headed outside and began to walk down the street. After walking for 10 blocks, it was starting to get dark, and Eduardo Sr. was loosing hope of finding his son today. Until he saw a back pack hanging out of a tree about 11 blocks away from the house.
"Eduardo?" asked Eduardo Sr. "Are you in that tree?"
"NO! GO AWAY!" came a whimer from the tree.
"Eduardo, come down from the tree." commanded Eduardo gently.
"No, I don't wanna!" whimpered Eduardo Jr.
"Alright, if you don't come down on the count of five, I'm comming up to get you."
"No!"
"1... 2... 3... 4... fiv-"
"Wait! I- I'm comming." Eduardo Jr. slowly climbed down from the tree with is backpack. His tear stained face stared down at his feet. His father quickly grabbed his baby boy in a bear hug and lifted him up. Eduardo Jr. immedianly started squirming and thrashing in his fathers arms like crazy.
"Shhh, calm down." whispered Eduardo Sr, trying to sooth his son.
"NO! PUT ME DOWN!"
"Shhh..."
"NO! YOU HATE ME!" directly after Eduardo Jr. finished his sentence he stopped thrashing and broke down in tears.
"What? I don't hate you! You are my son and I love you."
"No you don't! Your leaving!"
"I'm not leaving beacuse I hate you- I could never hate you- I love you more than I have ever loved anyone. I have to leave to work on my Zeta Beam technology. I love you very much, and I want you to never forget that."
"Really papa?" Eduardo Jr.'s tears had turned into slow hiccups and his father was now rocking him slightly and rubbing soothing circles on his back.
"Of course. Are you okay now?"
"Si."
"Alright. You really scared me today when I couldn't find you."
"Sorry papa." whimpered Eduardo Jr. while burrying his face in his fathers chest."
"It's alright, but you have to promise me your never going to run away again."
"I promise."
Eduardo Sr. looked at his son and dryed his tears with his tumb. He saw him shiver and smiled slightly before pulling the hoodie he had brought over his son's head.
"You want to go home now?"
"Yes."
"Want me to put you down?"
"No."
Eduardo Sr. chuckled slightly before walking home, holding his baby tightly in his arms.
