Disclaimer: I own the plot bunnies.
Summary: There are questions to be answered.
Timeline: Future.
Author's Note: This is another short BB ficlet. I don't know what inspired this particular one; however, this and Snow are both inspired by Lerdo's All That Lies Between Us series, which is absolutely fantastic. I would suggest it if you're interested in short, BB stories. As for this one, reviews are welcomed.

"What do you want, Bones?"

"Do you love me?" He shifted, looking at her with a frown.

His face softened, "Does it matter?"

This wasn't the answer she was expecting.

"Well, I--."

He cut her off.

"If, I said 'no' would it change how you felt about me?"

She thought for a moment.

"Well, no…I guess not."

He gave her a soft smile.

"Then does it matter?"

She met his gaze for a moment.

"No, I guess it doesn't."

"That's what I thought."

He wrapped his arm around her shoulders as she settled against his chest.

"I love you."

"I love you too, Bones."
