Anita was in the basement when Tim came down the stairs behind her. Here we go again, she thought nervously. Why does he keep tormenting me? I thought I'd be safe here.

"Hey, fatty, didn't think you could hide from me did ya?" he said menacingly.

"Please, can't you just leave me alone? I've never done anything to you," Anita pleaded.

Tim moved closer to Anita, trying his utmost to be intimidating. As he got close enough he swung for her.

At that moment Anita heard a beautiful voice in her head.

Willow was holding the scythe while Kennedy looked on nervously. Willow's hair was now fully white and she was glowing with the pure magic that flowed through her.

"This is the path that was meant for you sweet Willow," it was the loveliest voice Willow had every heard and she could feel the Goddess' words almost as real as the power that flooded through her every fibre. "From this day forth all my daughters that were destined to be strong shall be."

"OH MY GODDESS" Willow called, it was a lame response to the one true Mother, but it was all too overwhelming.

"Stand my daughter, be strong and fight," the voice in Anita's head instructed her. And with it came an unbelievable rush of energy.

Without thinking Anita put out her hand and stopped Tim's blow. He stepped back taken by surprise, as she looked at him with a sly smile forming on her face. She stood up tall and looked at him in a way that brooked no argument.

"Um, sorry, I have to get to class," Tim said hightailing it out of the basement, quicker than Anita had ever seen him move.

She stood laughing, feeling the strength that now filled her from head to toe.

Kennedy had taken the scythe and joined the fight in the basement and Willow lay recovering from the most amazing spell related high she had felt and somehow she knew there would be no burn out factor from this one.

She could also still feel her link to the Goddess and through it to all the girls around the world that had been united with the Power of the Chosen Line.

"Goddess, what will happen to these girls? Who's going to teach them with the watchers council gone," Willow asked.

"You my child, you and the others. You must reform the council and help my daughters to know and use their strength as it is meant to be used."

"I understand, and we will."

The connection with the Goddess was broken and Willow sat up. She was gathering her strength to go find the others when she felt someone standing before her. She looked up and suddenly was breathless once more.

"Willow, I'm so proud," it was Tara.

"You're the First, we've lost?" said Willow nervously.

"No my love, it's me," replied Tara chuckling gently. "The Goddess has allowed me to speak to you as a reward for your strength and determination."

"Tara, baby, it's really you?"

"It is sweetie. I've been watching you the whole time. I was so angry when the First came to you in my name, but I had no way to warn you. I was so proud that you didn't listen that you were strong enough to know that I would never be that way."

The building was beginning to shake, the walls were cracking and the ceiling tiles were falling around them.

"Now go my love. The battle is done, the Hellmouth is closing and you and Kennedy have more work to do."

Tara's image began to fade. As she finally vanished Kennedy came back into the room to help Willow escape from the falling school.
