A Pale Light
By SMYGO4EVA

The snow fell softly that afternoon, the world covered in an ethereal white and blue glow, and Serenity found that she was entranced by its subtle, silent beauty.

She stood by the window, her fingers just barely touching the chilled glass, as a smile traced her lips.

"What are you doing?" A familiar voice sounded, from behind her.

Turning, a light blush painting her face, in her embarrassment, she offered a small answer, "Looking out the window. It's snowing."

Yami's brow furrowed slightly, before an almost half-smile graced his features.

"Yes, it does that often in the winter."

Serenity had smiled that special smile, and Yami tried not to notice how lovely she looked.

"Yes." He could hear her saying, his eyes much too focused on her to really comprehend, "Right now, at this moment, it looks so… magical."

Serenity looked at Yami, still smiling softly, wondering what he was thinking, as she so often did, and glanced back out the window for a moment, her whole body aware of how much warmer it seemed, now that he was by her side.
