Kisame could only watch while itachi whiped away the blood from the corners of his mouth.''Itachi, Are you sure i ca...'' . ''Yes i'm sure Kisame, Stop asking''. Kisame sighed. This happend each time he would ask Itachi if he could help him or if he wanted to give him some medicine. ''Just let me help you Itachi'' He finally said. ''Why... i can keep this up for one other day. And one day is all i need...''. He knew this was true. This is Itachi's last day before he would fight Sasuke tomorrow.

If Sasuke could only see itachi like this now. How much pain he is going through just to make Sasuke happy. Even though i don't think Sasuke will ever be happy. He is an avanger, someone who hunts after revenge. I wonder Sasuke... When Itachi will finally be dead... Would you be satisfied? Would you return to Konohagure and your friends just like Itachi wants? Probably not... You would just find a new source of revenge. Maybe you'll find the truth and you will go after Danzo. Or maybe you'll just wander around and blame other people random for the death of the Uchiha clan. I think you'll do that Sasuke... You will never be satisfied... No matter how much revenge you've had.

''Kisame, i need your help'' Itachi said with a dry, cracky voice. Kisame was shaken out of his thoughts ''Anything you want Itachi'' Kisame said, still half in thoughts. ''I want you to hold back Sasuke's team during my fight with Sasuke. Could you do that for me?'' It wasn't that often that Itachi would ask for his help. So now, when itachi was near his death, there was no way Kisame could decline this. He didn't even thought about 'do i want this, or not?' he just thought about the fact that itachi was asking for his help for the first and last time. ''Ofcourse Itachi... Ofcoure''... ''Thank you'' Itachi said quietly

Sasuke... I hope you'll live a happy life after tomorrow. I hope you will return to those who truly care about you... Your friends in Konoha. And the most important one Naruto. I hope you'll live the life Itachi always wanted for you, the life he fought for, and the life he is going to give his life for. No... I'm lying if i say all of this... I don't care what you are going do with your life at all. I just hope Itachi wont die in vain...

He looked at Itachi again. This would probably one of the last moments he'd have with him. They sometimes talked like itachi would never die tomorrow. Like ''I would like some dango's. Kisame, can we go to a dango shop next week?'' Even if they knew that there would never be a next week for Itachi. It is kind of sad... but Kisame still wore a small smile. I will miss you my friend. He thought. Itachi...He was a man who made no mistakes. A child who had seen too much. He was a true perfectionist. He was so polite and silent. He had given everything to protect the death of his younger brother. Everything... The lives of others and his own, just for his little brother. The man killed his clan in hopes Sasuke would be spared.

In hopes Sasuke would never learn the thruth.

Though in the end, all lies would come out. Itachi's death would be pointless. And Sasuke would still be an avanger... Still not satisfied and still unhappy.

If Kisame only knew this beforehand...If he only knew... That itachi would die in vain...
