At the head of every organisation throughout history has sat an overlord, who controls everyone and everything beneath him: the Spider. My take on the London criminal underworld.

The spider,
So alien, so inimical, yet so human
At repose in his silken kingdom
For he is master, he is lord
He feels the twitch of the threads
Softly, softly, waiting darkness
At the top, the pinnacle of this, his
Anti-society of flies
Betrays his own at behest of dog
For who better to catch a fly than
