A/N: It is a Neji x Tenten. If you hate this couple don't read, trust me it pains me to write this too because I love (and i mean LOVE) Neji.

The Perfect Valentine's Gift

It was the day before Valentine's day when Neji was walking through Kohona village thinking about what he should get for the love of his life… Tenten!

"I could get her a flower-no! Too weird."

"How about chocolate-no! She hates that!"

Then what should he get her? He was so frustrated. But, Neji wasn't the only one getting a present for their valentine, so was Tenten. She kept on thinking and thinking but nothing came to her mind! "Oh I got it!" she said excitedly. "I could get him a blue, silky kimono!" Tenten was so happy but upset at the same time because she didn't have any money. On the other hand Neji too found something. "I could get her a shiny golden necklace!" But he didn't have any money either. So Neji ran down the street, around the corner and all the way down till he reached the Leaf Village Gift Shop! As he walked into the tall building he stared at all of the fancy jewelry. "Hey, kid!" The owner of the shop said. Neji snapped his head back to the attention of getting Tenten that necklace! "Um , may I have that golden necklace?" Neji asked politely. The owner smiled and said "That would be 100 ryo!" Neji was so surprised he couldn't imagine something as expensive as that. "Well" said Neji slyly. "I could offer you a really special Hyuuga scroll!" Neji knew that the merchant loved to collect special items from different clans. "why –u-u-u- of course!" And right away he snatched the scroll and gave the golden necklace to Neji.

On the other side of town Tenten too went to the owner of a shop. "Um can I have the blue kimono over there?" the owner said the same thing. "That would be 100 ryo!" Tenten smiled and gave him a ninja tool and right away she exited the building. The next day Neji came over Tenten's house and sat down on her comfy coach and all of a sudden Tenten came in wearing a beautiful kimono. The two love birds stared at each other for a very long time. Then exchanged gifts first Tenten opened her gift and cried "IT'S BEAUTIFUL!" Then Neji opened his gift and then he said "OO very silky. And today-on this very day these two love birds are sitting together …

But, love doesn't always last.
