Hey there,

this is my first Skins fanfic, not my first fanfic ever.

I'm not a native English speaker and I write fast and my writing is messy, if you are about to suggest me a beta, please don't waste your time :), other suggestions are more than welcome! I think it is always great to know someone else's opinion and take from it what you can (I'm not saying that just because someone thinks I should write this I will but I may consider it :)) I appreciate every feedback I get so please go on.

Also I should say I own nothing this was clearly inspired by How I met your mother and Skins (surprise!) and I'm excited to see how this little experiment will turn.

thanks

"Kids have I ever told you how I met your mother?" a man in his 50s told his teenage kids, slightly annoyed the girl smiled while the boy

rolled his eyes "daad" the man smiled understanding.

"well let's start at the end" he said, placing himself in the role of narrator

"we were leaving school, all going their own ways. I was heading to New York to find the love of my life. I didn't even know where to start

looking, the only thing I knew was that she is a waitress in some pub, bar... New York is a big city as you may know, kids but I was

determined to find her. It took me few weeks until I gave up and had to start looking for a job. I found one. Working in a storehouse in some

supermarket, dressing up like a chicken, funny enough. I was still in contact with my friends, few months passed and my birthday came, it

wasn't hard for them to get in my apartment and they threw me a party."

"yeaaaah man, big boy, now, no?" Anwar, surprising they let him cross the borders. the man laughed, kids didn't.

"did you find her? did you? hey, don't tell me you didn't! wanker!" great that is so what you want to hear on your bday, Tony.

Don't really know what made them stay. It definitely wasn't me. I was fine with my silly life, going to a job I hate and living in a flat which

reminded and smelled like a dump. Of course I was thankful they did but who would say thank you to Tony? It was like saying you lost and

then being reminded about it till the rest of your life, ha!

I was sitting on a sofa when I heard the girl crying. Oh God what's next.

"will you marry me?"

"yes, yes"

shit what a birthday party it was. could I just ask for more? my two best friends planning a wedding, fucking weddings and relationships and

friends and family, fuck my father, my mother who was only she knows where, probably in Germany eating sausages and fuck my so called

girlfriend who was flying on acid who knows where maybe she is back to the UK and I'm here... oh kids you are right, that night I got drunk,

so drunk I did not even know if those were my exact words but probably that was how I felt or maybe not. Anyway back to the story, Tony

asked Michelle to marry him. can you believe it? of course you can, your uncle Tony... but we, we couldn't believe it...

a bit short but what do you think?

hope you liked it.
