Short little Memorial Day Story! I rule. It doesn't really have anything to do with Momorial Day... But whatever.

Ginny held her daughters hand as she lead her across the graveyard.

"Mummy, are we almost there?"

Ginny looked down at Lily. Lily was staring up at her, her brown eyes shining excitedly.

"Yes, its right ahead." she promised, dodging a gravestone and pointed up ahead at her husband and other kids. Harry was walking with his hands in his pockets, watching as little Albus chased his older brother.

"Come on, Al! Stop being slow!" James laughed. Albus tottered after his brother, unsteadily avoiding graves. Harry chuckled. Ginny watched him closely as they approached their destination. His smile melted away, leaving him relatively sullen, as he stared at the graves of Lily and James Potter.

He took a deep breath as Ginny reached him. She slipped her smaller hand into his, and Albus took his other hand. James sighed and grabbed Lily's.

"Hi Mum, hi Dad." Harry started. "Life is good, I guess."

Ginny smiled.

"I taught James to play Quidditch yesterday, and Albus managed to hit himself with a quaffle."

James sniggered. Albus shot him a dirty look.

"Teddy came over for dinner at the same time as Bill and Fleur."

It was Ginny's turn to snort.

"Yeah, and Teddy and Victoire finally had to tell them about their relationship. It was hilarious." she added. The kids laughed.

"Yeah," James chuckled, "Teddy slipped and dumped pudding on Louis right before they told Uncle Bill."

Harry smiled weakly. Ginny squeezed his hand comfortingly.

"Yeah, we lost some pudding."

Lily grinned.

"Lily started a dance class, huh Lils?"

Lily nodded enthusiastically.

"I did! Naomi told me I had real talent and that I had to upstage all her other students!" she gushed.

They continued to tell the grave all about their lives until they ran out of stories. They told them about Rose's new friend, the Slytherin, and Roxi having a boyfriend, and the latest gossip on Teddy/Vicky. They even told them about the new exploits of Sirius and Chloe. When they had finished, Harry turned to Ginny.

"Thank you." he said softly.

"For what?" she asked as Lily began peeling moss off a nearby grave.

"For being there." he answered simply.

"Of course." she replied.

"Mommy, look!" Lily pointed at her brothers.

Ginny gasped.

"Boys! Get off there, that is so disrespectful!"

James and Albus were looking very pleased with themselves as they sat on top of their grandparents grave.

But Harry just laughed.

"Let 'em be, Gin. I think Mum and Dad would have found it funny."

This is dedicated to my Grandfather, whom I never had the pleasure of meeting. This is real life, my brothers actually sat on Grandpas grave and I yelled at them, and Dad said he would have found it funny. I have been assured he would have spoiled me and he was just as funny as me. (Or I inherited his humor, whatever) But this is for him. It's short, but sweet. Love you Grandpa, wish I could have met you because soon I'll have no grandfather at all. (Hey Dad, if you read this, promise you'll show me the wedding video? You know, the part where you said your dad yelled 'My pants are falling down!')

Love you all, lovely readers. Look at my poll!
