Alice was sitting on the third worn bar stool from the door, staring blankly at the cracks in the wall, waiting to hear one particular loud clap of thunder, which would follow up with the blonde veteran walking through the door, hopefully just like in her vision.

Alice put the blank staring on hold, closed her golden eyes and leaned forward onto the countertop, her index fingers massaging her temples. She was trying to look into the future, anything causing Jasper -- as she learned his name was -- to not stumble into this certain diner.

She leaned black into her original position, seeing that nothing has changed so far, once again going back to listen for that one clap of thunder…

After wandering on her own for a for a few years, she came across a particularly interesting vision. Alice was standing next to a tall blonde, Jasper, who were with a large group of vampires. One big and burly with dark hair, another gorgeous blonde, a girl this time, leaning into the big one's embrace. There was another couple, a blonde haired man, holding onto a caramel colored woman. You could tell these two were older, and had a parental vibe coming off of them. And off to the edge, was a lonely bronze haired boy. A coven. A coven that Alice would soon join.

Alice had been waiting in the same spot from when they opened at eight to when they closed at eleven waiting fruitlessly for him three days prior. They were all useless because in the vision, there was a merciless thunderstorm happening, and this was supposed to be the storm. Hopefully.

Boom!

Aha! That was the one! Any second now, Alice thought, snapping out of the trance. Instead she started staring at the door on the north wall.

Ding. The little bell went off, signaling a new customer. A tall and lanky blonde with red eyes walked in, shaking his hair damp hair slightly.

Alice jumped off the stool, gliding to the blonde. "You've kept me waiting a long time," she said.

Jasper looked up, startled, to find the little pixie, looking at him. He ducked his head. "I'm sorry, ma'am."

"Oh, no need!" Alice's tinkling voice carried throughout the diner. "You probably want to know what I'm doing? Would you be okay with coming with me to my hotel to explain?"

Jasper was flustered. Who was this little girl to simply come up to him and ask questions like this? "If that's what you would like, ma'am," he said anyway.

"It is! Now come on, I've got a lot to tell you!" Alice said, heading toward the diner door, with Jasper trailing behind her.

They walked around in silence. When they reached her hotel, only about a block form the diner, they trudged up to her room, still silent.

When she locked the door behind them she finally started talking. "I'm Alice. And I can have... premotions, or visions if you will. And... I had a vision... of us two...together. It's a long story. Would you like to hear it?"

And so their very special love story began with a certain clap of thunder, a diner, and a vision.
