EPOV:
I was wandering through a cemetery late at night feeding on some of the rabbits that feast on the grass when I noticed someone lying at the end of two graves. I hid behind a tree to avoid being seen.
It was a little girl about three years old. She had long brown hair and her cheeks were red. She was laying daffodils at the edge of the graves. Tears covered her face but she was smiling the smile of acceptance apparently knowing that her deceased friend was gone.
I looked at the names etched on the tombstones.
Renee Swan
Loving mother and wife will be missed.
Charles Swan
Respected father, husband, and keeper of peace.
I saw on her wrist was a bracelet that said "Isabella Swan".
"You idiot" I thought to my self; those were her parents. I then noticed that all around her were her family.
To the right of her mother there was her Aunt, Uncle, Cousins, and Grandparents. All of her family was gone.
I looked at the girl with sorrow in my eyes and wondered what would happen to her as she got up to leave. Someone came up to her. Not a human a vampire.
He grabbed her shoulders and made her reveal her neck to him. I sprang out of my hiding place and ripped the girl from his grasp.
I gently set her on the grass and turned back to the vampire I saw the glint of hunger in his eyes and went in for the kill. I wasn't going to let a girl with nothing die to fill his insatiable thirst.
I had fueled my actions on the anger that he would try to take every thing this defenseless girl had.
I had ripped him to pieces and threw the remains into a nearby campfire. I then went to the girls attention she had fainted.
I wanted to make sure she was safe so I ran towards the nearest orphanage and set her at its door I rang the doorbell and sought safety in the bushes I would make sure she would stay safely at this orpahange.
It had been several years since then and because of the little girl I still have not left the town.
I never let her leave my sight.(Except when I went hunting)
When I came back from hunting I saw that she was gone. I looked for her every where but I couldn't find her.
I even went to the head mistress and asked if she had adopted out a small brown haired girl. But she hadn't.
I went to the chest with her clothes in it but it was still full. I then went to the only place where I thought she would go.
I ran to the cemetery as fast as I could. When I came to the cemetery I could already hear her sniffling.
She was mumbling to her self "its like I don't exist" and "people never know where I am".
She couldn't take it anymore she collapsed on the wet graves of her parents and started to sob.
I couldn't stand seeing her cry especially if I was the one who had caused it. I came to where she was and put my arms around her and just hugged her.
She froze but then put her arms around me as if she had known that I had always been following her.
I picked her up and started to walk away from the town that had blessed me with this girl. I now knew that she wouldn't be able to go back to that orphanage or any other orphanages.
But, that didn't bug me one bit. I hugged her closer to my body.
As far as I was concerned I wasn't going to let her leave anytime soon. It was like no mistake was ever made. She was in the place where she was meant to be.
