Forbidden
She shouldn't be doing this and yet, here she was, running through the forest with her skirts hiked and a smile blooming across her full lips. She knew the dangers of doing this and she welcomed them. After all, she had tasted the forbidden fruit and she just couldn't get enough of its sweetness.
She knew she was nearing the end of her run when she came entered into a small clearing that was nestled deep within the forest. Not many knew of it and for that, she was glad.
"You came." A soft voice whispered against her ear as arms wrapped themselves around her slim waist.
"Cloud!" She shrieked, spinning around in his arms. How she missed him! Standing on her tip toes, she pressed a soft kiss to his lips.
Cloud smiled softly as he took in her flushed cheeks and sparkling eyes. She was truly beautiful. "Tifa." He whispered, tightening his hold on her.
She smiled and rested her head on his shoulder. Sun light fluttered weakly through the canopy and Tifa closed her eyes and just enjoyed the warmth of the moment. For these rare and fleeting moments in this clearing she wasn't a princess engaged to a king she didn't love and he wasn't a knight forced to watch the only woman he love married another man. In these moment, they were just Cloud and Tifa, two people in love.
So what if this was forbidden? It just made it all the more sweeter.
