A/N: Just a bit of background knowledge. This story takes place four years after Max saves the world. Jeb and Dylan died in the process of saving the world. Max, Fang and Iggy were all placed in Ella's grade. Max and Fang are 20. Iggy is still 19. Ella is 17 and a senior in high school. The Flock lives with Dr. Martinez in Arizona. I know this chapter is short, but the next one will be longer, I promise.
Disclaimer: I, lilfrog82, don't own any of the characters of Maximum Ride nor the plot, James Patterson does.
Ella POV
One week before my senior prom and Iggy still hasn't asked me! We have been dating for two months now and he still hasn't asked me!
"Just be patient," Angel interjects into my thoughts. "Why?" But of course that nosy little girl can't answer that question for me. Oh well. I just wish he would ask me.
Fang POV
"Hey Iggy, come here." He grudgingly puts down his bomb, or whatever that is he's working on, and follows me into my room.
I shut my door and mentally send Angel a message to stay out of my thoughts for a while. She replies, "Too late, I already know what you plan on doing and I love it!" Sometimes I wish she couldn't read minds, although it did come in handy that one time when…never mind, that's another story.
I sit down on my bed since Iggy has already claimed my beanbag chair and take a deep breath. Iggy immediately suspects something and asks, "What's wrong?"
Before I can stop myself, I blurt out, "I wanna marry Max." Crap, wrong thing to say.
A look of mild shock crosses Iggy's face. "So when's the baby due?"
I can't believe Iggy just said that! He knows I'm still a virgin! "There is no baby!" "Oh…okay." "Yeah." "Well, I'm still happy for you."
Good. Now only if Dr. Martinez would it this well.
I turn to leave and Iggy says, "Hey man, can I ask you something?" "Sure." "Should I ask Ella to prom?" "DUH! You have been dating her for the past two months!" "Okay, okay, chill out man. Didn't mean to upset you." "It's fine, just do it soon." "Alright, I will."
This time we both get up and leave my room.
I head straight for Dr. M's office and knock on her door. "Come in!" I walk in and take a deep breath. "Dr. M, I want to ask you something."
