Bests & Worsts
Arizona Robbins had always measured her life in 'bests' and 'worsts'. There had been many good and bad events, and she'd done many good and bad things. But those weren't what mattered, what she kept track of. It was the 'bests' and the 'worsts' that were important.
Best Decisions: Kissing Callie in the bathroom at Joe's; realizing she wanted to be a surgeon
Best Day: Marrying Callie; graduating from Medical School; being named Chief Resident
Best Moment: Hearing "I do" from Callie; hearing "I love you" the first time from Callie; hearing Sofia's heartbeat
Worst Decision: Leaving Callie in the airport; replacing Alex on the flight to Boise
Worst Day: Burying Tim; watching Callie and Sofia in surgery
Worst Moment: Seeing Tim's casket; seeing Callie laying on the hood of the car; seeing her leg had been amputated
So many bests and worsts involved Callie. So many good and bad times revolved around Callie. And now… now she had made the absolute worst decision of her life; an epically bad decision that was surely going to make this the worst day in her life and the worst moment in her life. There was no going back. There was no way she was ever, EVER, going to knock this off the top of her lists, even if she lived to be a hundred.
She turned to the woman standing beside her, the woman she had loved, and still loved, with everything she was.
"I have to tell you something, Calliope."
