Hello I have something a little different for you all today. I was on tumblr when I saw a post by jeremybelpois411 wondering what it would be like if Aelita was clinically insane and the whole series had just been her way to cope with being in a mental hospital. So of course I had to write it. I don't own any of the characters, they belong to moonscoop. Also as I've said the inspiration comes from jeremybelpois411.

"We did it Jeremie, we defeated Xana…"
"Your father is dead though. He sacrificed himself for you."
"I know."
Father's given up on you, mother never came. Truth slips through the cracks, drives a young brunette insane.
"Jeremie, why does nobody else have pink hair in your world?"
"Because you're unique."
The hair was fake right from the start, like the boy who stole the young girl's heart. As were the friend's she held so dear and her home and prison, digital frontier.
"Now that you're here on Earth…with Xana gone…we can live together in peace."
The two heard wolves and ran faster, it seemed something was catching up to them, something they could not bear.
The wolves that tormented her as a child. It was not until later, until she had been imprisoned, that she had created her warriors to save her.
"You can't make me go back!"
They ran faster.
She had defeated Xana. She had escaped. Code Earth had freed her from Lyoko. She was still trapped.
She was captured again.
Every electric shock treatment. Every time she would relive moments of her life and her fantasy, like a broken record. Every time something was injected into her. A bee. A bully. A snowstorm. Her warriors would come to protect her from the monsters.
She was in front of the Supercomputer tower.
Who knows how much time has passed.
"Let's put it to a vote."
"Put what to a vote?"
"Whether to keep the Supercomputer on or not, princess."
She was the princess. The one needed to save the day, to be protected. Every time Xana tried to kill her friends, she would save them by deactivating the Tower. Every time some progress was made, she would keep relapsing. Stronger and stronger methods were used until she just escaped.
"Why would we turn off the Supercomputer?!"
"It's the only way to make sure Xana never harms anyone ever again."
"But I'll miss the adventure, the action."
"Our friendship is directly linked to the Supercomputer…what if our friendship deactivates as well?"
"Our friendship is much stronger than that."
"Will it hurt?"
"Not at all."
Aelita turned off the Supercomputer.
She ceased to feel anything at all.
