A/N: So, the awesome burgandybaby gave me this prompt to help get me over my writer's block: SCS fic, Colt's POV on all of Punk's girlfriends after they get together. Thanks, chickie. Enjoy, peeps.

Colt knew the mess he was currently in was his own fault.

Maybe falling in love with his best friend had been an unconscious action, but deciding to be upfront with Punk about it hadn't, and agreeing with Punk about what to do about it had definitely been a conscious choice.

Colt had never thought it would go on for this long, though; three years of watching the never ending parade of girls in and out of Punk's life when he was on the road had taken it's toll on him.

In Punk's defense, he made sure that they all knew when he was in Chicago -or the even more rare, times when they happened to cross paths traveling- that was when he was spending time with Colt, not them.

It wasn't Punk's fault that Colt couldn't deal with it any more; wasn't Punk's fault that Colt felt like a part of him died every time he watched Punk walk off with his new flavor of the week.

But just the thought of telling Punk that he wanted to quit this thing between them made his stomach tie itself in knots and his heart feel like it was breaking.

As he watched Punk get off the plane and head towards him, the grin on his face for Colt alone, Colt knew he would stay with Punk for as long as the other man wanted him to.
