Kuki nodded, her arm linked with her fathers. It was finally time for her to walk the aisle. Dressed in her pearly, white dress with matching gloves and the Kuki original tiara, she nervously let him lead her. This was it. The beginning of a new life that, luckily, included the man she loved. She thought back to the time when she was unsure of whom she loved and even before she knew what love actually was. Life and love didn't work out in Kuki's favor. Until that moment.

The moment her eyes were opened to her heart.

However, it sure did take her a while to realize what and whom she really wanted. Which path of life would, in the end, make her the happiest. A selfish motive, but it was her happiness on the line. She deserved, in that aspect, to be selfish. The result was satisfactory on the verge of a perfect decision. The two might had their good and bad days, but she knew that she would always love him. Until death do they part.

The doors to the church sanctuary swung open and the first thing she saw was him. His hair slicked back and his suit freshly pressed. His arms lazily in his pockets until their eyes met. The violet and green mixed and so many emotions showed in both: love, lust, happiness.

She loved this boy. That night only a few months ago was still stuck in her head.

"I love you." She said for the first time with confidence behind it. "I have since we were kids. Sorry it took me so long."

He closed his eyes. She feared the rejection that was sure to come out. She had waited too long. She wasn't fast enough. She lost him, but the rejection never came. "You have no idea…" He paused, finally opening his eyes, a smile on the face that was inches from her own. "how long I've waited to hear that."

"I'm so sorry. You know how dense I can be." She giggled.

"I love you too, Kuki. Always have. Always will."

That was the best part of that love. Kuki knew, without a doubt, that he would love and cherish her for the rest of her life and vice versa. That was why she didn't hesitate to say, "I do" when the preacher asked her the most important question. A love that will last a lifetime.
