What Lies in the Forest
Bella's POV. Takes place in the forest with Edward. No specific time during books...maybe the summer between the end of Twilight and the beginning of New Moon.
Please look on my profile for more information and feel free review/message me if you don't understand what happened or have a question.
Please take a second to tell me what you thought of my poem after reading. Please.
I wanted to show you guys the image that inspired me to write this poem, but for some unbearably annoying reason, I can't save the entire link--half of it keeps getting cut off.
So if you're interested in seeing the picture, message me/review and I'll send it to you.
Usually I'm more of a short story type of person, but this just came to me. Please read it twice--It's confusing, and you'll get more out of it if you have a chance to focus on the words a second time through.
Also: Anyone have any cool title ideas? I don't really like what I named it...
Disclaimer: I don't own Twilight, Bella, or Edward. If anything, they own me.
I close my eyes.
You make no sound.
No crackling of sleeping leaves beneath your feet; no swoosh of air slipping around your sides.
Silent. The way you always are.
You're standing behind me. Arms length.
No warmth radiates from your body; no air from your lips.
Unmoving.
But I can feel you.
You're wrapping yourself around me. Weaving, like a ribbon.
I curl up. You pull me inside of you.
All the blood in my veins freezes.
Nothing moves. Nothing.
The lazy fog floats around us like smoke, watching.
Your body is pulling me to you, some unseen force dragging me.
Invincible.
I can't break it. The tension of being away from you heightens.
Like a rubber band—
Stretching.
It hurts.
You're sucking me in; inhaling me.
I'm the steam.
You're the fan.
Does everything move to you the way I do?
The birds don't dare sing.
The air captures the lingering raindrops.
My thoughts are too loud. Much too loud.
The forest shushes me.
My pulse thuds behind my ears. Deafening.
I know that you can hear it.
And then, suddenly,
You are more than just a memory.
The realness of you burns my skin;
Sends spasms through my body.
You hold me against you.
I'm mixing into you. Dissolving.
There's no way to separate us.
I open my eyes
And that's when I realize.
You are too impeccable.
Too peerless.
Far, far too impossible,
For me.
Please review!!
