Snuggles and Kisses
Coulson preceded Maria into his apartment. The assignment she'd been on was a traumatic one. Even Natasha had been sympathetic. Coulson would be requesting that Hill remain well away from Thailand from now on. It was just way too traumatizing. It wasn't a sexist opinion either, he wouldn't recommend Barton for it much less anyone else that he'd personally found and trained.
She found the couch easily enough, but she hadn't though to bring anything with her. So Coulson headed to his bedroom and grabbed a pair of sleeping pants and a t-shirt he never gets to wear. "Here you go." He hands them to her and she smiles, heading to the bathroom. Coulson felt bad for her. She would never admit it, but she was too scared to be alone in her own place. Thus why he'd volunteered his apartment.
She returned and he had the pay-per-view list up on the tv. He was going to let her pick and even though it could be a chick flick or a war drama, Coulson didn't mind. He gave her the remote and went to the kitchen to throw in some popcorn and grab a couple of beers. He wasn't usually a beer drinker, but he kept beer on hand for Hill and whiskey was hard to come by at most grocery stores.
The movie was going once he returned, handing her a beer and sitting down. She looked swallowed by the shirt and his PJ pants were slipping down as she moved closer to him. He grabbed the blanket he kept on the back of the couch and threw it over them both. They enjoyed the popcorn and basically talked at the characters in the movie through out, which was always fun.
Coulson was happy that she could laugh, but he still saw the haunted look whenever she wasn't distracted. He threw his arm around her shoulders when she laid her head on his chest. He was flipping through channels now, just seeing what was on so late at night. He nearly dropped the remote when loud moaning and naughty words hit the sound system.
Face turning scarlet, Coulson tries to turn the channel fast since he thought Hill was asleep. She started giggling and sat up a little. "I could never get why people liked these things, the acting is atrocious." Coulson laughed and switched the channel.
"Ye- yeah, you're right..." She looked up at him, smiling.
"I'm fine Phillip. Really... I- thanks for letting me stay the night though.." He hugs her close, yawning.
"You're welcome Maria." He ignores her other statement, because he can see it's not true. She smiles, settling back down against him. It's at times like these that Coulson feels the happiest. The smile on his face refuses to budge. Suddenly Hill sits up. "What's wrong?" He asks as she turns to him.
"I-" She pauses, brows furrowed, "I... want.." When words fail her she leans in, eyes glued on his, she moves slowly as if she's giving him ample time to move or say something. Coulson frowns, but is quickly pulled into her pretty eyes. Hill's lips brush his tentatively then she pulls back, eyes still staring into his. Coulson smiles just a small up-turn of the corner of his mouth and pushes forward, kissing her softly, yet demanding. He stops soon, her assignment fresh on his mind. He pulls back, her smile all the assurance he needs. He leans in and softly kisses the tip of her nose.
