The Last Son Of Sadala

I do not own Dragon Ball/Z/GT/ Super or The Justice League in anyway shape or form they belong to their respective owners. The only thing I own is my OC Saiyan.

It was a rather pleasant night over Mount Paozu as the old hermit and former student of the fabled Master Roshi, Son Gohan strolled around the mountain trail that passed through the large lush forest that surrounded the little hut that he proudly called home for the last few decades after he come across the area during his search for the mythical Dragon Balls, seven magical orbs that were said to be able to grant your hearts desire if all the Dragon Balls were gathered; how you went about getting that wish was unknown, but he supposed it didn't matter in the end. He had already everything he wanted in life. Friends, a roof over his head, plenty of resources that the forest provided for him, he wanted for nothing there…. well almost nothing.

It would've been a lie if he said that he missed companionship. Paozu was breathtakingly beautiful in a way that he couldn't describe especially in the morning when the sunrise broke through the trees, and how the birds singing brought a smile to his face, but alas he still missed having company, speaking to people that engaged in conversation with him.

His old perverted master (Kami bless his soul) had long given up on the world and remained hidden away on his island, and Gyu from what his letters said had gotten married and planned to become ruler of Fire Mountain with her as his Queen. Gohan often wondered what life might have been like if he had settled down and had a family of his own instead of starting the search for the Dragon Balls; would he have become a father; would he have been a good one? The thought of having grandchildren to spoil brought a chuckle from the old man.

But that ship had sailed long ago.

On his trek back to his home, Gohan glanced up to the night sky and stared at the stars that could be seen through the cracks of the clouds. As a boy he would often look up at the stars and wonder if anybody was wondering what it was like there just as he wondered what it was like there. Surely there was more life then what was on Earth, there had to be.

As he looked up, he watched as a trio of shooting star shot through the night sky, followed by a smaller that wasn't too far behind it. It wasn't until a loud whistling sound grew louder that he saw that the shooting star was approaching the Earth's atmosphere and was closing in on Mount Paozu before it rocketed above him and unless he was mistaken slowed down before it crashed into the forest making the entire landscape quake.

Trees were knocked down and a large trail was left behind from the meteor wake. Staring in the direction of the comet, Gohan frowned, not at the damage it had caused to the surrounding area but rather the fireball that had assaulted the landscape scaring the wildlife and tearing up the landscape. He had seen countless meteors fall from the skies, but this was the first time he had witnessed anything slowing down before it hit.

Choosing to investigate the unknown object, Gohan walked to the crash site being careful to keep out of smoking trail that the comet had formed. As he reached the end, he saw that the meteor was no meteor at all but seemed to be some sort of blade pod that seemed to have no doors or windows that looked big enough to house a single operator at most, and on the face of the ship was a symbol that resembled a trident with a curved line at the bottom.

Using his Ki senses the old man felt a single Ki signature inside that was larger than average but nothing that would pose a threat to him, Roshi or Gyu if it didn't turn out to be friendly. Hesitantly reaching out to the pod, Gohan slowly extended his hand forward to touch the pod only to snatch his hand away.

"Cold." Gohan muttered softly as he stared at the pod in wonder. His wonder turned to curiosity as a small eye extended out from the pod and began scanning him then retracted back inside ship. Before the martial artist could ponder on why the ship had started scanning him, the area where symbol of the trident was located began to hiss as it released the trapped air before it lifted and moved back to reveal….

"A baby?" The former student of the Turtle Hermit questioned as the naked form of a baby boy. Moving to the side of the pod, Gohan inspected the child that was sleeping peacefully atop the red white blanket that it must have kicked off. They had a mane of spiky black hair that seemed to defy gravity, but the part that took him by surprise was the black furred tail.

Inside the ship was glowing white patterns that resembled wiring that ran around the small dome cockpit that the baby rested in, just above the sleeping babe was a small black rod. Picking it up he saw that it was some sort of…key (1), though much like the rest of the ship It was a different design then he had ever seen. Taking a closer look, he saw that it shared the same symbol as the one that was on the hatch; obviously it had to mean something.

Placing the rod inside his trouser pocket, the hermit reached down and picked up the infant wrapping the blanket around them to shield them from the crisp night air. Holding the child close to his chest the old hermit only seemed to gain more questions then answers. Was the child an alien or some sort of experiment? It wouldn't be out of the question seeing as how the planet was inhabited by both Humans and Anthropomorphic animals, so a boy with a monkey tail wasn't out of the question…still he had a feeling that it was the former seeing as how advanced the ship was.

"Why would anybody place a child inside a spaceship?" Gohan questioned staring down at the sleeping infant. Judging by the size he couldn't have been more than a few months old. "Now what do I do with you?" His only answer was the content sigh of the sleeping child, something that brought a smile to the old man's lips.

"I Guess we'll wait and see if your parents come looking for you." The hermit decided for them both." If not," He paused wondering what he would do if nobody ever came looking for him." We'll cross that road when we reach it, for now let's get you inside."

And cut! Well here the first chapter of The Last Son of Sadala, I hoped you enjoyed it, even if nothing really happened this chapter. I should point out that this takes place a couple of years before Goku/Kakarot arrives to Earth, so I'll be a few chapters until he arrives.

If you've watched the Man of Steel, then it's the key that Jor-El places in Kal-El's/Superman's ship.
