I Love You

Author's note: This is a song fic written to the song I love you, by Sarah MacLaghlan. I do not own any wrestlers, or the song I love you, or Sarah McLaghlan. I do own Kara Vetchar. It's a quick story that I wrote when I was up one night and couldn't sleep. The song lyrics are in italics. Anyways, enjoy! Please R&R, cuz I don't really like it, but I need to know what you think.

11:12 PM- Friday Kara had been wrestling professionally for a year and a half. One reason to be happy. She got a very good paycheck, and over the last year Jeff Hardy had become her best friend. Her biggest dreams, to become famous and to meet Jeff Hardy, had come true, not to mention been better than she had expected. But as Kara Vetchar glanced into the mirror and remembered the cruel things that people had told her all her life, she couldn't bring herself to smile. 'Everyone was right, nothing would ever happen between me and Jeff,' she told herself.

I have a smile stretched from ear to ear, I see you walking down the road.

She took in one deep breath and swallowed her water and then lied down on her bed and opened her journal.

We meet at the lights, I stare for a while. The world around us dissapears.

An hour later, as Kara tucked her diary under her pillow, she switched off her lights and closed her eyes.

It's just you and me, on my island of hope. A breath between us could be miles.

11:59 AM- Saturday "This time I wont blow it. By tonight she will know how I feel," Jeff spoke the strong sounding words into the reciever of the phone, glancing at the time.

Let me surround you, my sea to your shore. Let me be the calm you see.

"Alright Matt, I'll call you later and let you know how it turned out. This time I'll actually say it to her." Jeff hung up. 'It's 12:00. She'll be up by now', he thought to himself as he ran out to his car and climbed in.

Everytime I'm close to you there's too much I can't say, and you just walk away.

12:30 He pulled up out front of Kara's house and slowly pulled himself out and up to the door, still thinking of the right words to say.

And I forgot to tell you I love you. And the night's too long and cold here without you.

He knocked softly on the door and stood, waiting, and popped some gum into his mouth.

I grieve in my condition, for I cannot find the words to say I need you so.

'No, not this again. Don't tell me she went out somewhere today.' He knocked again, this time louder.

Everytime I'm close to you there's too much I can't say, and you just walk away.

'She's probably on a date... I'm too late to tell her.'

And I forgot to tell you I love you. And the night's too long and cold here without you.

He looked around impatiently then got back into his car and sat waiting for a second before leaving to go home.

I grieve in my condition, for I cannot find the words to say I need you so.

11:12 AM- Sunday Jeff still hadn't called. Matt flicked on the TV to give himself something to do while waiting and his eyes widened at the image on the screen. "At only 21 years old, Kara Vetchan, a professional wrestler, was found dead in her room, with an empty pill container beside her and a depressing last entry of what seems to be a diary, was in her hand." The voice on the TV said. Matt's hand reached out to pick up the phone and call Jeff. 'No Jeff needs to actually see someone and talk to them...' He stood up and went to the door, pulled on a jacket and left to go comfort Jeff.
