This is a story about a young writer, who can't stop dreaming, no matter how unreal or ridiculous those dreams may be. When unwanted reality swarms about her she has only way to escape: to retreat to the worlds she has created inside her mind. Sometimes imagining gets old, though, no matter how perfect the thoughts may be, even the most creative have their doubts. She often finds herself struggling and when she thinks writing or dreaming won't help this time, her ways of coping do damage inside and out.

One of her favorite places to retreat to is a place she discovered in a book, but it had been living inside her heart ever since. A place she creates stories within, dreaming she could go there. If she could, she knew everything would be right. She feels like she belongs there, and visits when she can: closing her eyes, imagining the rolling hills of The Shire or the beautiful white caps of the misty mountains. Out of all the stories she felt a special connection to Middle-earth.

A day when Leila was at her lowest something happened she had only dreamt happening. She feels the air escape from her lungs, sees the room shift and tilt, realizes her vision is going black and then…She finds herself in The Shire where her help is needed with a Quest, The Quest. A certain wise wizard was informed of a glimpse into the future. Imagine The Ring couldn't have been destroyed without Leila's assistance, a thing she can't understand. What could she possibly do to help in a situation like this?

Now a hobbit living in Middle-earth, just before The Ring leaves Middle-earth, Leila must adapt to the strange surroundings about her. She attends parties, gossips and quicky makes friends, but all the while she has a dread hanging over her head: that soon she will have to leave The Shire and accompany Sam and Frodo into Mordor. To make it worse, she is informed the story won't go quite like she has heard it will. Something she had dreamt about many times is becoming a real life nightmare, but she knows she'll have to face Middle-earth through the eyes of a young woman, who has not yet even graduated from high school as she experiences the journey of a lifetime to help destroy a Ring, defend her true friends, find herself and maybe even someone she loves.

I will be basing this story on J.R.R Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings". In no way am I trying to rewrite or recreate the story. I will NOT be rewriting the story will my added scenes or parts. I will not be using very much exact wording from the books, if any at all. The story will not be following the story closely, though it will roughly with some characters, instances and basic storyline. It, of course will not be as long and please don't compare it to the original work!
