This is a little late, but i'm starting to post my stories now.
No more
For once in my life the ring on my finger has become heavy. At the thought of being to different from Eli I quickly decide to ask him to let me share his bed. Unfortunately, he shot me down because of my values. But now that his room is almost up to four stars I fill the weight on my finger. In receiving this ring my father promised to protect me and to live a life worthy of god, but he and mother are no longer together. I do not know if I am truly ready to tie myself to Eli but I do know that I no longer want to continue wearing the ring. I should be able to make a promise to myself rather than continue to follow a broken one.
"Clare what's on your mind, you seemed very distance today?"
"Nothing Eli"
"You do know that you suck at lying."
"Eli, I'm serious it is nothing. Yes, I do have something on my mind but I wouldn't worry about it."
Later that evening
"Mom….Dad, I have asked both to be in the same room because I have something important to say. I have made a decision that you two will not be happy with. But I have a logical argument and either way I will stick by my decision."
"What is it honey?" my mother asks.
"I want to give you and dad back my ring"
"Is it that boy you are with that's making you do this?"
"Mom, let me finish and no. In fact he has no idea of my decision." I defend.
"Why are you giving back your ring Clare Bear?" my father asks me.
"Because, you two have not held up your promise to me. So I am giving back my ring to signify that I will no longer abide by the promise I have to you, however you should still fill as if you have taught me well and trust that I can make my own decisions." With that said I took off my ring and placed it into my father's hand.
"Clare, I don't agree with this." My mother addresses me and then redirects her attention to my father. I quickly make my way upstairs. I'm not in the mood.
Friday
"So someone seems to be in the here and now."
"Yup, see I told you nothing to worry about. I've taken care of what was on my mind and I feel better, new and free."
"So are you up for an urban adventure then?"
"Oh you can count on it. But I thought that we were cleaning more of your room." A brief expression comes across his face. "Ok then only the urban adventure for right now"
"Great so now I officially have nothing to do." Adam complains
"Hey, you are always welcomed or, maybe you boys should have a guy's night then."
"Good idea Clare, urban adventure first then guy's night." agrees Eli
Afterschool we three first headed to the dot. Throughout the day I had been carefully hiding my hand but I was not paying attention to where I had it now.
"I can't believe it."States Adam with a goofy smirk on his face.
"Believe what?" asks Eli
Adam leans in closer to the table to whisper, "You deflowered Clare."
"What, where did you get this crazy allegation?" asks Eli. I realize hadn't seen my hand.
He grabs it to show Eli my bare finger. He raises his eyebrows. "Clare, where is your ring." Concern dominates his face. "Clare where is your ring?"
"Clam down Eli, you to Adam. I took it off."
"Ooooh, you know I can find something else to do."Adam thinks that I am giving him hint about something that is not even happening.
"Adam, no, I gave it back to my parents. I don't fill the need to keep a promise that is already half way broken."
"Clare, could you explain to me what you were thinking about yesterday? I mean, what did-"
"You know if you keep your mouth shut I can explain everything. Then you two can ask me questions. In receiving a purity ring, I made a promise to my parents and they made a promise to. Well, they did not fulfill their half and I don't want to be burdened by false actions. Therefore I gave my ring back to them. The funny part about the whole thing is that they assumed that Eli put me up to it. humph you had no idea."
