Never Really Alone
Disclaimer: I don't own Charmed… (Yadda yadda yadda)
If you can't trust your family to help you with your problems, can you trust a stranger?
Piper sat listening to her parents fight for the millionth time this week.
"You always change other people's plans to suit yourself!"
"You're making a big deal out of nothing!"
Piper sighed; her parents had been fighting more and more lately.
Just go! Leave, whatever! I don't care!" Patty yelled. Victor slammed the door and left.
"That's it! I can't talk this anymore!" Piper yelled. She grabbed her coat and stomped downstairs.
"Piper, don't you dare leave this house!" Patty yelled.
Piper just opened the door and left. She knew exactly where she was going. There was a beautiful little park a couple of streets from the manor. She was heading there to chill out for a while.
Piper arrived at the park and sat on the swing. The tears she vowed to keep in check began to appear.
"This is stupid." Piper muttered to herself. She never cried. Never.
"I'm stronger than this" She said to herself, but the tears kept coming.
"Are you?" The voice in her head whispered back.
"Of course I am." Piper silently fought with herself.
Piper thought back to the last couple of months, her grades where terrible-which was extremely unusual as Piper was the brightest girl in her year-. Her "Friends" had decided she wasn't worth talking to; everyone was stressed out and grumpy.
"How can I get out of this mess? What do I do?" Piper said, crying almost hysterically now.
A male voice came from behind her.
"You are stronger than you think, Piper. You know you were meant for more than this."
Piper startled and jumped off the swing. "Who are you? How do you know my name? What do you mean I was meant for more than this?"
Piper was scared, but the voice was warm, she could almost feel strength flowing from the words that were spoken.
"Don't be scared Piper. I want you to remember something. No matter how alone you feel, no matter what you think you can't survive, you can. You are never truly alone. Sometimes, we forget how strong we can be when the time comes for us to have courage.
Always have faith that you are exactly where you are supposed to be, doing exactly what you are supposed to be doing."
"Who are you?" Piper tried again
"Someone who cares." The voice flittered through the breeze.
"But who?" Piper asked one last time.
"You'll know one day Piper. Just not now, not today. Right now Piper, I'm going to take you home where I know you will be safe."
Suddenly, Piper felt someone grab her hand; she had the sudden sensation of flying and closed her eyes. When she opened her eyes, she was back in her room.
"Oh my god, Oh my god! What happened? How'd I get back here?" Piper frantically muttered.
"Never Alone Piper, remember that." She heard a whisper, and then it was gone.
Well, a much deeper story than those I usually write. I guess that sometimes we all lose our way a little. We just have to have faith that we will find our way back.
I apologize to all those readers of my other work "High School Drama." I realized that, while writing from experience can be a great thing, some things are better left unwritten.
Anyway, please review, it makes my day:)
