The first time I saw Andy McNally the phrase 'shiny, new penny' came to mind.

And then she arrested me.

To be fair (although don't tell her that I'm telling you this) she didn't know that I was undercover, it being her first day and all. But really, 'I'm on the job'? How much more obvious can you get than saying 'I'm undercover you moron'? So, thanks to her, I returned to the regular force. Then she was assigned to me, and truth be told, it was as painful for me as it was for her.

And then she saved my, and Emily's, butts.

And then her and Epstein decided to make up their own little mission and she almost got shot.

And then-

And then-

See, the thing that gets me about Andy McNally is that she keeps surprising me. Just when I think she's an idiot, she pulls some fantastic, accidental stunt, and brings it all back together. Even on a smaller scale, like after that kid, Benny, died. 'What do you know about plumbing?' She asks me. And I meant what I said that night; that really is the only way to explain my feelings about Andy McNally. When she walks in the room with that determined look on her face, her eyebrows all bunched together and her mouth in a slight frown. When she turns slowly on the spot, comprehension dawning on her. When she shows up at my house in the middle of the night and kisses me.

I can't wait to see where this is going.
