Tripp ran home after school, trying not to think about what had just happened. He was pissed off at Gia and Bryce, but mostly Bryce. He
didn't get it. Why was Bryce so jealous that he had kissed Gia when Tripp and Gia were still dating? He remembered calling Bryce a bitch and
a retard and Bryce getting mad and threatening to tell the opened the door, meeting face-to-face with Derek. Derek said, "What's
wrong, kid?" But Tripp ran right to his room, dropping his school bag on the floor. Burger and Ash came out of the kitchen just in time to see Tripp
run into his room. Burger said, "What's wrong with the little man?" Derek said, "I don't know."Ash said, "I hope he's okay."Derek said,"Me too."
And he looked at Tripp's door for about 10 minutes,until he decided to needed some alone time.
Tripp was bummed for a while, but a half hour later, he felt tears in his eyes and put his head down in his pillow and sobbed. He was glad he
called Bryce a bitch. He fucking deserved it. Tripp cried until he heard someone say, "Trippy?" A girl's voice. Not Gia's, not Lana's ,and not
Izzy's. There was only one person. Tripp looked up and said, "Samantha?" It was Samantha Munson, Tripp's cousin who he never
saw. Samantha said, "Yeah." Tripp got up and hugged her. Samantha said when they were done, "Wow. You look really different, Trippy."
Tripp said, "You too, Sammy." Samantha said, "The last time I saw you, you were 3 feet shorter." Tripp said, "Huh.5 years ago. What a long
time."
Samantha sat on Tripp's bed and motioned for him to come over. She said, "So, how's life?" Tripp said, "Well, I'm part of Iron Weasel, but
besides that, not good." Samantha said, "Well, I'm glad that you're part of Iron Weasel, but what's not good?" Tripp said,"My girlfriend-she
kissed someone else while we were still dating."Samantha said as Tripp got upset again, "Well, that's awful. She shouldn't have done that."
Tripp said, "I know."Samantha said, "You know what? Anyone would be lucky to date you. You're, like, the nicest person I know." Tripp said,
"Thanks, Samantha.I'm glad you were the one to cheer me up." Samantha hugged him and said, "Me too. So, do you wanna go do something,
like go to a movie?"Tripp said, "Sure. Let's go." The cousins went to go see Super 8 and loved it. Tripp was happy to spend time with his cousin,
and he didn't forget her lesson, even when Bryce apologized and Samantha went back to New York for another few years.
