Images passing by. Voices, whispering his name. He knew that they are there, trying to tear him apart. Leviathans. He can feel them. Their anger, their rage - their darkness. And again the whipering 'Castiel'. But then a familar face appeared. It was Dean. He came up to him. First Castiel thought Dean was smiling and he wanted to cry for help but then he saw that his lover wasn't smiling. It was an evil grin. Then Dean's face changed and Cas saw that it wasn't his lover. He was one of them - a Leviathan. The angel could feel the cold of the blade he was holding. The Leviathan came closer. Cas took a deep breath and tried to ignore the ache in his heart but It was impossible. Then he saw the big mouth and the sharp teeth of the Leviathan. He could smell the stinky breath of the Monster but he couldn't move. He heard a groan just before the creature - "CAS!"
Darkness
"Cas! Wake up!"
Castiel felt that someone was shaking him. He opened his eyes and for a moment he could just see a dark shape. When his eyes gradually became adjusted to the darkness he looked into green eyes. He was soaked and his heart was beating fast. Dean seemed to understand Cas' confusion, because he was holding his face in his strong hands. Castiel sat up.
"It was just a nightmare"
The deep voice comforted him. Since he was human he needed sleep and often he dreamed about the past. He couldn't understand how people got along with nightmares, escpecially when they're children.
"It was about Leviathans" said Cas and Dean put his arm around Cas' shoulders.
"Don't think about it. It's not real. This is real" and Dean's face came closer to Cas and he closed his eyes.
He could feel the rough lips of the hunter and the stubble brushing his chin. But it felt good. And it felt real. He returned the kiss.
When Cas opened his eyes again Dean was smiling.
"Everything okay?" he asked and Castiel nodded.
"I'll hold you and I promise you'll have no nightmares tonight". Dean laid down and stretched his arm out so Cas could lay his head on Dean's chest. Deans skin was soft and smelled sweet. The hunter's hand stroke his hair. Now Castiel felt save and the nightmare didn't return.
