It was a few nights later that Callie walked into Joe's bar after the whole affair drama went down with Arizona and Lauren that she noticed he was finally back.
"Hey Joe you're back!"
"Yeah I decided that California wasn't my thing and that Seattle has always been and forever will be my home and I can't believe that I ever even left."
"Well you're a married guy and it was what your husband wanted but sometimes things just don't work out for the other spouce but at least you moved away and tried but then realized going back to your old life just seems for the better and it's what makes you happy."
"At least you tried." She sighs
Joe just looks confused and sad at her and gently grasps her hand.
"I heard what happened Callie, I'm so sorry."
"Thanks Joe." She smiles slightlty
"How are you guys doing?"
"Arizona and I, Uh well we both tried to adjust to our new life and we were just started to get along again and we thought we were past all the bad stuff and then she goes and cheats on me with another woman."
"What?!"
"Yeah, it's a long story..well no, not really, short but you get the picture." Callie tells him watching Arizona in a booth by herself nursing a glass of water as well as a glass of red wine
"She's drinking water?"
"It's what she ordered."
"Does she look completely exhausted to you?" Callie asks still watching her her wife..well ex wife but she's not even sure what she is anymore.
"Oh God!"
"What?!"
"I don't even know if I'm even still her wife!"
"Just because you two are going through this rough patch doesn't mean she's still not your wife."
"You two will get through this even though it may take a long time but communication is the main thing just talk to each other."
Callie smiles "Yeah I guess." She says finally slipping down onto a bar stool
"I'm going to miss your crowd coming in here."
"Me too Joe, and in fact I already miss those good old days in here, we have made some great memories here."
"Now instead I have these new kids who barley even look old enough to drink coming and taking over the place." He points
Callie looks and sees all the new interns playing darts and drinking."
"Ohh Bummer." She says taking a sip of her Rum and Coke
"Soo are you going to go over there and talk to her?"
"I don't know we haven't really had much contact since she's cheated besides sharing our daughter is about the only time we talk."
"How about this how about you go over there and talk to her and when you're ready you can give me a signal to send over some drinks?"
Callie smiles "That sounds great, thanks Joe." She says getting up and makes her way over to Arizona
