Author's Notes: I do not own Kagome or the song Helplessly, Hopelessly by Jessica Andrews. I just wrote this fic for my entertainment. If they get OOC sorry, my first song fic. I have another coming soon. I'm going to try to write a whole series based on Jessica Andrews. Some might be Sailor Moon though, but I'm going to try to make them all Fushigi Yuugi, since this one is. This is my first FY fic btw. Also, since my computer is demented the story starts with a song and every other paragraph is the song (i.e. song, then story, song, story etc.). Kagome knew she could survive anything, but not being with him.

She was completely defenseless against him. She was always so happy when he touched her.

It was too much for Kagome to take.

Kagome wouldn't believe it. She couldn't be falling in. It would be hopeless.

Kagome knew she would follow him to Hell if he asked her to.

Kagome sank into his embrace. He was always there when she needed him. She wished he would embrace her more, but that was too much to hope for.

Kagome knew she would never be able to stand up against him. The emotion flooding through her was enough to kill her. This was the first time he'd ever done this.
