When the fire consumes the storm
His coal black eyes roamed over her sleeping body. Her bare shoulder rose and fell with each breath she took. She was like fire. Everything she touched was added to her flame, from a bored mayor to an ownerless dog, anyone who needed help was given it. His hand gently touched her shoulder, her skin was so smooth, it felt nice under his deformed fingers. He kissed the nape of her neck and smiled when she stirred. Her flame had not just consumed him, it had ignited him. Her eyes fluttered open and wandered hazily over to him. He knew he wasn't her priority, he knew he didn't come first, but getting to see her wake up to him, getting to experience the fiery passion that they had, that made him feel pretty damn special.
When the storm tames the fire
She rolled her eyes. He'd begged her to stay in bed like he did every morning. She wiggled her butt at him as she pulled her pants on and he groaned. Her teasing was just what he needed to stay in bed all day with her. The "with her" was the problem though. She went outside and splashed some water on her face before plucking a mutfruit. She sat on the curb and ate while she waited for him. He was like a storm. Chaotic and unpredictable. His temper was uncontrollable and his smile was like light shining through heavy hanging grey clouds. He sank down next to her, his usual "Hancock" garb on. She looked at him and smiled. Leaning over she placed a sweet kiss on his cheek. He chuckled.
"What was that for?"
"For being you."
