Heart Of Ice
I call out to you
But you turn away
And as if it was the last thing I knew
I would not let you stray
I gathered up my strength, courage, and determination
As I stepped forward in front of you, gripping your form firmly by the shoulders
As I grew lost in your eyes I thought I was forsaken,
But what I discovered was a silent confirmation
That your feelings reflected mine
But still your glare turned colder
Blue clashed with blue
Sending shivers up my spine
Was I so thoughtless and stupid to think a danger like you could ever be mine?
You pull away
Again you're always out of reach
So in my sweetest voice to thee I beseech
"Heero," I whisper only it is drowned
And dies in the howling wind
A single tear crashes desperately to the ground
As I turn and run knowing from this my heart will never mend
I stop when I see the trigger pulled down
The gunshot explodes as I fall wordlessly without a sound
A lone stranger has showed me how it will end
The man began to run
But you and your gun, with him did away
You kneel beside me and take me in your arms
I know hear, with me, you will stay
And I hear you blaming yourself for my harm
As tears gush down both of our cheeks
I can feel my body growing weak
I reach up and caress your face
As painful tears continue to race
You didn't have a heart of ice
I see the tears you sacrafice
Hearts of ice can't shed tears
Hearts of ice don't melt in love's fear
I close my eyes remembering your face
When you lean over and crush you lips passionately against mine
My pulse and heart began to race
I hear the next line you whisper before I leave this place
"Aishiteru Relena, my angel, who has fallen from grace...."
