Beaten and cuffed, helpless even, not even a bit of energy left to escape. It was my own damn fault to waste my energy running away. I should of fought back, instead of letting him be the winner this time. He shoved me against a tree and held me by the collar of my shirt. "You are going to Coates with me, whether you like it or not!" He was literally spitting in my face. It wouldn't be that bad, going to Coates, at least I'll get a decent meal. "You're not going to escape from me this time, Ellison." His voice stabbed my ears like a cold, sharp blade, with a little hint of insanity.

First of all, you might think this might be the first FAYZ. Just to clear it up, this is the second FAYZ. I am the daughter of Astrid Ellison, who she named Glimmer. I know you might be confused a bit, since I dragged you into this mess, but I have no time to explain it all now. I'll try to explain everything as we go along. Also, just saying, not all stories have a happy ending… including mine.

"You-you won't win. You'll never take me alive," I say, even though it comes out in a tiny, meek voice. He laughs at me, at my weakness. "Let's take a look at where you are, shall we? You're tied, having your powers blocked, plus your powers are completely useless on me. If I were you, I would obey me."

"No," trying to sound strong then I really am, "You are not—" Before I could even finish my sentence, he sends a harp kick to my shins. "Not so smart are ya'?" I just grimace in pain. Then he drags me his white van. I remember a phrase someone had once told me: Never trust a man in a big white van. "Where to, boss?" A shaky little 13-year old boy asks. I think his name is Zig. He had a good reason to fear him.

"Don't act dumb!" Carter yelled.
