-China, New Year Parade, 11:00-

You happily walked down the crowded sidewalk of China, munching on the crab potstickers you had just foolishly spent the last of your pocket money on. The parade was going to start soon and you needed to take a break from the crowd. A little anime merch. store on the corner caught your eye and you slipped inside. You wandered around with wide eyes, everything was so cute! "Eeee! A Shinatty-Chan plushie!" you squeaked, lunging for the adorable creature. Your hand was met with another, "Oh! I'm sorry! Err, Wǒ hěn bàoqiàn!" Looking up into the stranger's big brown eyes you blush, sure you had mispronounced something.

"Haha, it alright! I love Shinatty-Chan too, though I did not mean to let my excitement stop such a Kě'ài de person such as yourself from looking ~aru!" he replies.

"Y-you speak English?" you ask feeling awkward. "Uh huh! You (nationality) right? I can tell by the accent aru." You nod and look more closely at this kind stranger. He had long chocolate hair pulled back in a ponytail, traditional red robes, and a panda on his back. " You're so cute ~aru!" the man squeals embracing you. Releasing you, he checks his watch, "Well, I let you finish shopping aru." You blush,

"I-I'm just looking, I spent the last of my money on potstickers…" He cocks his head to the side,

"I love potstickers! Here, let me buy you a souvenir at least aru!" And before you can protest, the stranger is buying you a set of plushies and offering to show you around this part of town before the parade. "Oh, by the way, I'm Yao!"

"I'm _, I would love to walk with you, thank you again for the souvenirs!" you reply, gift bag in hand. He nods,

"Oh, okay! You should get fitted for one of those dresses!" With that you are dragged into a dress shop and fitted for a beautiful (f/c), silk dress. "You're adorable! I will pay for the dress please!" Yao cries in a whirlwind of money and silk. The two of you laugh and run around the block, acting like children excited for the parade.

"Oh," you say looking at a clock, "It's 11:59."

"Close to the new year…" Yao replies.

"I have to leave tomorrow, tonight was my last night vacationing in China…" you muse sadly. Your acquaintance's eyes grow wide,

"Then- then, _-san, kiss me!" And in the last 45 seconds of the year, you feel a pair soft lips pressed against your own. You kissed back, living up these moments. The world around you seemed to slow down, the red and gold ribbons and banners twirled around your two intertwined figures. Yao broke away, "_-chan, when I say you're adorable I mean you're beautiful, when I buy you things it means I like you. Now, I think you're gorgeous and I love you. Happy New Year…"
