Dreaming
OOO
Fred Weasley sometimes felt like his whole life was a wonderful dream, and that one day he would wake up and it would all be gone, everything he had worked hard for would vanish and he would be stuck living in a boring world where he didn't spend every minute of his life being glad he was alive. Yes, there were moments when he was upset about how things had turned out, but at the end of the day, he had to admit that his life was turning out spectacularly. Fred had a family who loved him, friends who treated him like family, a girlfriend who adored him, and a twin brother who was always there for him. For Merlin's sake, he even worked at the happiest place in England, selling candies and pranks to children. How much better could his life get?
But sometimes Fred felt like his life was a nightmare. It was impossible to ignore the war going on around them. People were dying, and the fact that this day might be the last for him or any of his loved ones seemed like the most horrifying thing he had ever known. His life was crumbling down, and no joke or prank could stop the increasing number of deaths caused by the war.
Fred's dreams seemed to be more real than reality. He dreamt that the war had really just been a nightmare, and that he was back at Hogwarts, running through the halls with his friends. He dreamt that instead of spending his days going over battle plans with the Order, he spent his days lazily playing Quidditch and stuffing his face during meal times.
If Fred's life were a dream, he hoped to Merlin that he woke up before it was too late.

Eh, I'm not too pleased with this one, but I wrote it in 15 minutes, so what do you expect. This was written for the "Anything You Wanna Write Competition- Audition Week" over at HPFC. Please leave a review and tell me what you thought, because I'd really appreciate feedback!
