I like a lot of cartoons. Recess and Teen Titans are two of the many. It's an AU by the way and not related to ANY of my Teen Titans fics at all, but I will use a few characters. It's grade eight for them by the way. I made up the town that they live in cuz there isn't a real one. I made up the middle school too. Sorry that it's so short! And Emerald's an OC. You'll see...

I Don't Own Teen Titans Or Recess. But I Do Own Emerald.

Gem Stone's Fire

Preface

Five people stood on Titan's Island. One tall, sturdy man with jet black hair. Beside him was an even taller woman with red hair and lime green eyes. Also, there was a blonde man with incredible green eyes. With him was a black haired woman with violet eyes and pale, grey skin. Lastly, there was a young woman. She had the first man's hair and eyes like no one else. They were the most hipnotizing emerald green, like the blonde man's but even more enchanting. It was a grey day, with waves crashing against the shore in an angry manor. It seemed to suit the attitude that fell upon the people.

"No, mom, dad. I don't want to leave, I don't want to go." Emerald started crying into her mother's shoulder. Why couldn't she stay? It really wasn't that dangerous for her in Jump City, was it?

"My dear, this is for the best." Koriand'r hugged her daughter. Her golden heart was breaking by the minute.

"Emerald," Dick Greyson said. He walked up to his wife and child. He would get Slade back for this. Seeing his family this heartbroken, this sad, tore him apart. Revenge would for sure be sweet. "It's time to go, Rachel and Gar are ready."

"Yes dad." Emerald let go of her mom and walked towards her aunt and uncle. With make-up and a holo-ring, they looked like normal people. How she hated not seeing his green skin, hair, eyes, everything, and her aunt's bindi. They looked like strangers.

"You have to understand Emerald, we cannot live among people while looking like who we truly are." Rachel said. She always understood how Emerald felt. Having an empath for an aunt wasn't that bad.

"I know Auntie Rach, I just don't want to leave all I've ever known behind. You know, like when you had to leave Azarath."

"I know Gem. But I survived, and look. I met my husband and family. Maybe you'll meet yours."

As Emerald entered the car, one thought stuck in her head. I already have my family. They're the people I'm leaving behind.

Emerald stood in her new bedroom. It had creamy white walls and a window that showed the street they were on. Her bed was right under the windowsill and had green sheets. It was nice, but nothing compared to what she had in Jump City. Then again, nothing here was like Jump. Even the people looked different. Everyone was so layed back.

"Remember, they down have to worry about a supervillan attacking them at random." Rachel had said. She was true, but it still bugged her.

"Are you ready to start school in the morning?" Garfield poked his head through the open doorway. Emerald looked back to see her uncle. He looked so different without his fang poking out of his mouth on the left side.

"Yeah, I'm ready." She said. Though she didn't know how truthful that statement was...

Not much, but I needed to write something and I have writer's block on everything. Hope I won't get stuck on this one, and that inspiration will come for the other stories. Again, sorry that it's so short. I am so ashamed that I couldn't write more...
