Mikoshiba Seijuro woke up one day, laying on a tree with a rather short but cute girl by his head. Her hair was done in elaborate braids and it looked quite fetching on her. Mikoshiba was confused at first and wondering just what the hell was he doing here, in the middle of nowhere, instead of in the pool where he last remembered being.
Soon enough, the girl- Nona- was giving him a walk through, acting as a guide to what he was, where he was and what was his job. Judging people? Sure, he was good at reading someone's character, he had to- what with all of the years he has spent being a captain of a large swim team and working as a chief of the police department, but was he really the best person for the job? Still, Mikoshiba accepted the job and accepted the new name- Ginti- and ignored how similar yet different his face and body was now.
Ginti did not dwell long on how much darker his hair was, how orange his eyes were instead of pure gold when he was human and not an Arbiter- the only golden part of his eyes was a cross. He loved the part where he could control water and transform in different bodies and people. Those were the good sides of his job but all the bad sides- judging people's souls and cheating them- turned him into a bitter man.
"Humans all behave the same way, like idiots. They all forget that someday, they're gonna die, so the moment they come face to face with death, they cling to life." Became Ginti's favorite saying because he knew humans- he was human once, after all.
He takes up Kokeshi dolls as a hobby, creating them to the likeness of the humans he particularly admired. He kept them as pieces of humanity he has lost after years of being an Arbiter.
