Just a random poem I wrote a while ago after I finished reading Peter Pan
enjoy!
Impotal Piper
He comes and takes a seat
By her feet
in the darkened night.
He plays sweet tunes
Under a piper's moon
By wooden children pipes.
The candle flames dance
And shadows prance
Around the corners of a child's room.
In the loveliness of dreams
Memories and magic play for the same teams
And heartbreak is swept away.
Behind closed eyes
Is where happiness lies
between mortal children.
In the land where people fly
And not even the enemy die
Lives an imortal piper.
When his lullaby stops playing
The day must be breaking
And he must go.
He stands by her side
Wishing to hide
Her away with him.
He bows to his sleeping love
Then takes to the sky like a dove
Leaving a thimball on her cheek and a kiss in her hand.
He's passed the second to the right
When she wakes to the light
Of a new day.
They say as you grow
You some how know
That magic isn't real.
But if you wake before the sun
And to the window run
You'll see a sight.
Of dry leaves
And pixie dust thieves
Under the light of the second star.
With the kiss in hand
She comes to the window to stand
And look over the world.
She stares to the sky
Wishing to once again lie
Under a piper's moon.
She lets out a sigh
And says goodbye
At the start of her day.
The boy smiles in delight
Waiting for the night
To play once again.
He takes out his pipes
In his house under a tree
And laughs, "Oh the cleverness of me."
Love Peter and Wendy. I'm so conflicted with the pairing though. I'm not sure the story would have been as good if she stayed in Neverland with him but I was so sad when she didn't.
Anyway please review
