Chapter One
Prologue

Years ago; we did not have all the things we did today. Computers; phones; guns… all those things. A perfect place to attack. A monster of great power attacked our world. It nearly destroyed us all… but then; a warrior of great power appeared. He used his amazing powers, and sealed the monster in a star. And so it has been… for ten thousand years…

Near a very large star; several light years from earth; there were three glowing warriors. These warriors wore strange, neon green armor. The first had yellow skin, and was very muscular. The second was a skinny woman, with red skin. The last was a muscular man, with blue skin and a beak.
"The Dark is almost free." Said the woman "Yes. But sadly, only a human has the thought to seal away this creature." Said the large one "Don't worry, Nake…" said the middle one "We'll need a human to defeat it. So we shall give a human it."
"Are you mad?" asked the female "Humans use power for war!"
The buff one smiled "I say we do it. But the question is… who?" the woman sighed "Alright. But remember… the ring chooses the user." The three put their hands together, and spoke in unison.
"In brightest day… in darkest night… no evil shall escape my sight… let those who worship evils might… fear my power… Green Lantern's Light!"
There was a massive green light; and a green bolt of light sped to Earth.

And so; of all the people; of all the humans on Earth… the ring… chose one…
