Note: This is my first time writing B/A, and I decided that after killing Alex off I had to write something about Bobby and Alex. I had meant for it to be fluffy. That bit of it failed miserably.
Bobby should have told her the truth. He had planned on it, at some point, once they were both retired, or finally transferred to different squads.
It had never been the right time, and now it was too late.
The shot echoed in Bobby's ears, and for a moment, one blissful, ignorant moment, he didn't know what had happened. It wasn't until he heard a shocked gasp from Alex that he realized something was wrong.
He glanced over, expecting some sort of explanation.
What he hadn't expected to see, however, was the look of complete shock on her face as she grabbed her stomach; red blood was seeping through her shirt, staining her fingers as she attempted in vain to hold the wound closed. Her eyes locked with his for a moment. " Bobby.."
She stumbled, and Bobby caught her before she could fall to the ground. He grabbed her around the waist, and he had struggled to keep bile from rising in his throat as Alex's blood soaked his hands.

Bobby should have told her the truth before her blood had stained his hands, but he hadn't, so he did the next best thing.
"Alex, I love you."
