She didn't think dating him would make her an outcast. Girls never talked that much with her but now whenever she entered the girls' dormitory, conversation instantly ceased. It was as if she was a plague. She must be avoided at all costs.

The thought had crossed her mind to bring this up with him as they walked down a corridor. Just as soon as she opened her mouth to talk about the girls, his warm arm would circle around her waist. Fred always made her feel calm, like all of her negligible worries vanished. Laying her head to rest on his shoulder, she could hear his heartbeat. Thump. Thump. Thump. A steady beat. Taking a deep breath, she began to talk. The words spilled from within her. Even thought she hadn't really cared what others thought of her, it still hurt to know that people thought such rude things about her.

Lightly tracing circles on her waist, Fred listened to his girlfriend as her worries were laid out for him to see, figuratively speaking of course.

"Hermione, people talk. You know that. I know that. Of course we'll have obstacles in this relationship, but we just have to figure out if they're worth overcoming. I hope they are," Fred said as Hermione had finished talking.

"Of course you're right. I have no idea why I let people get to me like this," Hermione replied, lightly chuckling.

Looking at the sun as it began to set; Hermione looked back up towards Fred. A smile began to form on her lips which made her laugh. In turn, Fred tore his gaze from the setting sun to rest on Hermione. Grinning, his claimed her lips in a warm kiss.
