Hey hey! This little idea just popped into my head and I wanted to share it with all you. I know you never see something so happy and sweet from me, but don't doubt it. I wish I could write more things like this. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it. :D
Leaving a review would be good, too. ;)

Defining Us
(Troyella Oneshot)
Gabriella played with the silver ring between her fingers. She hadn't answered him yet; miraculously, Troy was calm about the time she was taking to decide. He knew Gabriella had always been a worrier. Something, though, was obviously on her mind – and he wanted to let her sort it out first.
He sat down beside her on the living room couch.
"What are you thinking about, babe?" He smiled and leaned in closer. "Just say yes."
Abruptly, she faced him; seriousness made her features.
"What is it that really connects us?"
Troy realized her tone was not rhetorical; she didn't know the answer. He was a little caught off-guard. And was Gabriella, though she had given birth to the big question.
"Uh, well," Troy stared across the room, "the music, I think."
Gabriella folded her lips in, deeply thinking.
"That can't be the only reason we love each other."
"Why not?" he asked softly. She shook her head.
"Real life isn't a musical. There's so much more to it than that. I mean," she threw up her hand, though not upset, "I don't see us singing about our problems when we disagree."
Troy laughed, but nodded nonetheless.
"You're right. I guess it's something else." Gabriella looked up to him with her curious eyes. He had to find an answer for her. "I think it's because we complement each other." He nuzzled his nose against her cheek. She let him, but he could feel her stiffness.
"How do we complement each other?" she persisted. Troy sighed.
"Well, you're level-headed when it comes to our relationship, and usually, I'm just all out." He got her to smile just a little. "When I lose my way, you're always there to help me get back on track. And whenever you're in doubt," he rubbed his arm against hers, "I'm so sure."
Gabriella sighed and kept her eyes down. "What if it's not enough to last us forever?" Her voice was so small and timid. She didn't even look at Troy. He could feel his heart breaking. He couldn't stand to think Gabriella doubted his feelings for her. Troy reached out and kneaded his fingers through hers.
"C'mere, look at me," he whispered. She did. He gazed back into hers, somberly. "All I really know in this world is that I love you, Gabriella Montez. And whatever it is that we have: I don't wanna ever give it up."
Gabriella glanced down to her hands. Troy had slipped the ring onto her finger as he'd spoke. She stared at for a while. Did she want to spend the rest of her life with him? He was waiting for her to give the final answer. And now, she was ready to give it.
Gabriella lifted her eyes to his.
"What we have is true love. And there's no one else I want to share it with." She leaned up and pressed her lips to his. "Just you."
Troy laughed a little. His eyes were welling. With a contented sigh, she laid her head on his chest. Together, they took a breath. Their hearts beat in sync. In that moment, Gabriella realized her mistake. She could never decipher a moment as beautiful as theirs. She could never define a love as wonderful as theirs.
And the heart they so clearly shared was enough reason for her.
