'You are my friend'
Every day I would cry in my dark, bloody corner.
I would dream about what was hidden beyond the beautiful water.
This monster treated me with disrespect and selfishness.
He destroyed my life and threw me into this darkness.
I stole money and created maps for my people's freedom.
My sweat and blood meant nothing.
Until I met my true captain.
His eyes were full of joy and it was soothing.
I didn't want him to be dragged down or even killed.
My heart stabbed the evil on my arm, but I was stopped.
I yelled,
'Leave! Why are you still here! LEAVE!'
A straw of hope and confidence fell upon my head.
'Help me…' I soon said.
I never thought that he would protect me and my people.
He finished off that monster and saved them before my eyes.
Finally, I heard freedom cries.
He took me to the seas to retrieve my dreams.
Yet he acts so stupid and laughs away to anything even if he is sad or angry.
With a smirk on his face, he said," You are my friend, navigator and will always be."
