Disclaimer: Not owning Final Fantasy, Steiner, Beatrix, or Zidane.
A/N: I'm picking up some Steiner/Beatrix hints in FFIX, and couldn't resist poking fun at it. This is written a bit overly-dramatic and not meant to be taken seriously, so if there are any diehard Rusty/Bee fans out there, don't flame me –laughs-
If you've never played FFIX, you probably won't get it.

"Oh, Bee!" Steiner rushed to his beloved's side, tears of anguish clouding his vision, "How did this happen?"
"Twas a fiend, my love… I… underestimated it…"
"What sort of fiend, pet? I shall avenge you!"
"It was… a Tonberry…"
"Oh…" Steiner winced and looked around nervously, avoiding Beatrix's eye.
"Is something wrong, Adelbert? Why are you not rushing to vanquish it?"
"Um… well, a Tonberry… you know, those are… well…"
"Are you, Captain of the Knights of Pluto, afraid?" Beatrix's eyes grew wide in astonishment.
"Of course not!" Steiner exclaimed, springing to his feet and landed in a heroic position, "Nothing can waver my courage! Nothing!"
"Well what are you waiting for? It went that way," Beatrix pointed behind Steiner at a dark path in the forest, to the south.
"Right!" Steiner rushed north.
"No, Steiner! Not that way!" Beatrix sighed angrily.
"Oh, please don't make me!" Steiner begged, throwing himself to his knees and placing the most pleading expression on his face.
Doubling over in laughter, I found I could no longer hold a standing position and tumbled to the mossy ground. A gasp came from Beatrix and her love's position as their eyes landed upon my rolling figure.
"THEIF RAT! HOW DARE YOU INTRUDE!" Steiner's voice roared as he drew his sword. Through my tears of absolute mirth, I could see his cherry face advancing upon me.
Struggling to my feet, I made a quick exit before having to face his wrath.

You don't have to review if you don't feel like it. Twas purely fun –wink-
