Toga: For god's sake start running!
Man's best friend
Artemis closed the site with concealed glee. He had not known President Bush had a xanga, but thanks to a tip off, he had got in and changed the password. He tipped of Juliet, and was now admiring the hello kitty background. Nice touch.
He heard a knock at the door and felt his ears twitch uncomfortably. He turned in annoyance.
His mother stood there, leaning slightly on his father. The adoration in her eyes was sickening.
"Arty, your father and I, (here she paused to run her fingers through his hair) "Have thought for a long time. And we have decided you are responsible enough to own a dog."
Artemis sighed.
"Mom, you never said I couldn't have a dog." His mother didn't pay any attention.
"Kay, we're going to get the dog at six!"
His dad leaned against her.
"Until then-" He winked and she grabbed him, kissing him.
They kissed deeper. And deeper.
"Mom! I'm still in the room." They giggled and left.
He sighed.
six o clock. Because if patience is a virtue, I am virtue less.
Artemis's parents were already sitting in the car.
"Where are the breeders?" He asked bluntly, not really caring.
"Breeders?" His mother asked blankly.
"Honey, we're going to the animal shelter."
Honey. Artemis was going to be sick.
"Great. We're getting a idiotic mutt." His parents showed no sign of noticing him. He sighed and looked away. It would almost be okay if they allowed him to take Butler. Damn family bonding.
Artemis winced. One looked like it had rabies. He decided not to go near it .
Another had pups.
Finally he looked in the last cage.
A pup sat there, golden and bright. It's eyes were a loving brown, and the sunlight streaming through created a golden halo around it's head. It smiled and wagged it's tail, looking up at him with complete adoration.
Artemis stiffened.
"I hate it already."
