Frisk leaned on Sans as they slumped onto the sofa. The skeleton chuckled and wrapped his arm around the child. Canned laughter erupted from the television. That was something that was new - Mettaton wasn't the only celebrity anymore. He had, however, become exceedingly favoured with the human population, so he was on a lot of shows anyway, but it was a relief to Frisk not to have to watch his shows all day long.
Sans glanced over at the small human. They seemed to enjoy being on the Surface - heck, even he thought it was pretty great. Jobs were better up there, too. Sans had managed to snag an occupation at the bar Grillby had opened upon reaching the human world. The best part was that he was only required to work three or four days every week.
"DINNER IS READY!" The loud voice of the younger, but taller skeleton rang out as he leaned into the room from the kitchen. Papyrus wore a 'Kiss the Cook' apron over his usual outfit. Sans tipped his head to peer at his brother from over the couch, while Frisk began to clamber over the top of the sofa to greet him. Papyrus bolted over to them and scooped them up in his arms before setting them down on their feet. The child giggled. "COME ON FRISK, SANS, IT'S SPAGHETTI!" The tall skeleton then flamboyantly strode back into the kitchen. Frisk beckoned to Sans, insisting that he came to eat. "alright, alright, i'm on my way." The lazy skeleton grinned as he was led into the kitchen by the small human.
Waiting at the table was the motley crew that Frisk had come to consider their family. Alphys and Undyne were, naturally, seated beside each other, their chairs unnecessarily close. On the other side of the latter was Toriel, the motherly goat who now took care of Frisk, and next to her were three empty seats. When Frisk released his hand, Sans increased his pace and quickly claimed the chair directly beside Toriel. The child, grinning, went to sit down beside him and nudged him gently. He looked over. "yeah, kiddo?" Frisk pointed at Sans, then made a heart shape with their hands, then pointed at Toriel. The skeleton blushed blue and leaned down to speak in an undertone to them. "well, yeah, i like her, but.. uh, don't tell her, alright?" They nodded, crossing their finger across their heart twice. "heh. thanks."
Papyrus proceeded towards the table with three plates brimming with spaghetti balanced precariously on each arm. He laid one down in front of everyone and then sat down with the last one descending in front of him. "ENJOY!" Sans grinned as he picked up a fork and stabbed into the bulging mass of long, delicious tendrils. "well, bone appetit, everyone." a general murmur of laughter rose up from everyone - aside from Papyrus who groaned. "SANS!"
A few minutes of aimless chatter and bad puns later, Sans was finishing up his spaghetti. "wow pap, you made something that was not only edible, but pretty tasty t-!" He broke off as a piece of spaghetti (supposedly) got lodged somewhere. He began to cough before halting and swallowing. "that almost choked me, papyrus!" The younger skeleton looked horrified. "OH, SANS, I'M SO S-" Sans held up a hand to halt his brother. "no worries, bro." Then his grin grew wider. "just spaghett about it, yeah?"
And all around the town, in monster and human homes alike, a great scream could be heard.
"SAAAAAAANS!"
